Intra-corporate transfer of
managers/employees/interns (ICT)

The Intra-corporate transfer permit is issued by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and contains a favourable written opinion provided by the Executive Director of the National Employment Agency.

The permit is issued to third-country nationals who apply for a prolonged residence permit for the purpose of intra-corporate transfer for a period of one year and it may be renewed under special conditions as well as it may be extended up to a maximum of three years for managers and specialists and one year for intern employees who may work only for a specific receiving company/ employer or group of enterprises.

The Intra-corporate Transfer Permit provides the holder with a mobility right throughout the EU. The application procedure rules and the required documents for issuing the Intra-corporate transfer permit are set out in Article 33p of the Foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria Act (FRBA).
